How to Find Computer Power Cables and Adapters

 




When you are looking for a replacement computer power cable, you need one that is designed to work with the 3-pin shroud power connector. These cables are heavy duty and feature a fully molded design to fit perfectly to your computer. This cable has a female connector that plugs into your computer, and a male connector that plugs into a standard outlet. This cable allows you to easily move your computer from one location to another.

The first thing to do if your computer isn't receiving power is to check your power supply port. Make sure the cable is tightly inserted into the three-pronged port on your power supply. Then, plug in the power strip, surge protector, or battery backup unit. Check to ensure that the cable is connected to a power outlet or is securely plugged into a surge protector.
